Why Every Business Needs a Google Business Profile

There are a million different ways to get traffic and customers for your business from Google.  There’s search ads, shopping ads, YouTube ads, Local Services ads and so much more.

Depending on your specific business goals, some of their products might work for you, while others may not. But no matter what business you are in there’s absolutely no reason to not set up your Google Business Profile

First of all, it’s FREE.

Without spending a dime, setting up a listing gets your business placed on the Google map, drastically increases your chances of being found via Google search, and it allows you to receive and respond to public reviews.

Not sure if you have one? Go Google your business name now. I’ll wait. (Note– this is easier to see on a laptop).

What shows up on the right side? It should be a listing like this:

Even if you haven’t set one up yet, Google may take a digital stab at one for you so something will show up. Look for the “Own this business? (see red arrow above). Click that and you can claim it.

Setting up a listing is simple. It takes a few minutes of your time and will provide long-term business-building benefits.

No physical address for your business? That’s ok! During setup, if you simply select “I deliver goods and services to my customers,” then you can claim a listing without an address.

You can edit the pages with photos, your business hours, and other information.  Plus, when people leave reviews, you can reply to them. People understand the occasional disgruntled customer. They don’t understand the company not replying to make things better.

Consider your Google Business Profile as another way to give a compelling nudge for potential customers to contact you.

So if you don’t have a Google Business Profile yet, don’t dwell on your missed opportunities. Instead, take a few minutes to set it up. Still got questions? Contact us.
